Moved here from out of state. Paid first month's rent, PLUS a double deposit becuz my credit wasn't that great. Gave them a month before I would actually arrive in CO. Was shown a beautiful model apt with new appliances, color coordinated countertops, it was really nice. They said the apt that I would actually be moving into could not be shown becuz it was being "made ready." Ok, like a fool, I trusted these bimbos. The apt that I actually got when I arrived a month later was still not ready, they were spraying the kitchen countertops with some type of paint chemical, there was plastic sheeting over the kitchen doorway, to keep down the fumes, I would guess. The walls looked like they had been bashed in and then someone very sloppily attempted to patch them. The bedroom doors were the same way. I was promised new appliances, they were not. The countertops in the bathroom were BROWN. Haven't seen brown countertops since the 70's. The side of the sink counter in the bathroom had apparently rotted away and was "patched." The shower stall was cracked and the pipe for the shower head was just hanging from a hole in the wall!! The manager, a worn out old hide, would not even come to the apt so I could show her all the problems that needed to be fixed. The maintenance man told me that HE picked out the color for the paint on the walls, which looked like someone threw chocolate milk everywhere. The clean-up/make ready lady told me even SHE wouldn't live there. However, they do have a very nice laundry facility...if that's where you choose to spend all of your time. And the real clincher is that it is RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO A JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER and a prison was being built just across the street!!! I did get my money back from Skyline Properties after I threatened a lawsuit and contacted the Attorney General's office, as well as consumer affairs.
