They give new residents better deals than old ones

I have lived here on and off for 10 years. I have lived in four different buildings. They are now offering new deals to people who are coming in, and don't care about the people who live here. I broke up with my boyfriend, and wanted to get out of the lease. They pretty much said, too bad. You can pay $1,600 to move out keep paying until someone rents it out. They don't care about the residents, it's all about the bottom dollar. don't waste your time, do somewhere else.

Ok, a lease agreement is a lease agreement. Did you not read what you were signing? Did you not know the consequences of breaking your lease agreement and moving out early. It was right there in black and white and worse yet - it was signed BY YOU which, if you don't know, states that you have read and UNDERSTAND! Obviously you didn't read your lease agreement. And the "rules" are the same with any apartment community - any property management company. They aren't going to make it easy for anyone to break a lease agreement, otherwise everyone would and apartments would not be able to stay in busy. Which means people like you and I would have no place to live and would be forced to buy a house! So ... from now on try reading what your signing. Don't complain when YOU were the one that didn't have her facts straight in the first place.

It is interesting that you think the op is a her and I'm starting to think these responses come from Summit View as we all know how dishonest and sneaky they are. New residents do get better deals and they do treat long time residents like garbage. |

Haha! When I read this review I assumed that the "op" was a girl too. He/she did break up with a boyfriend. But who knows nowadays? Either way I agree with BlissfulOne, you can't break a lease agreement and not expect to owe money that's just common sense.
