I live at Brentwood Park for 3 years. I have very few complaints about them. It's in a great location... close enough to UNC that you could walk (if you were ambitious), but far enough that you didn't get much wild college kid behavior, usually.

Maintenance was always very prompt with repairs and usually was able to fix the problem the first time. We actually had very few problems with our apartment the whole time we lived there, which was nice.

Parking was never much of a problem. I couldn't always get a spot right in front of my apartment, especially if getting home late at night, but that's to be expected. I always could find a spot in the lot though. The parking spaces are a little small. Probably not ideal for people with large trucks.

Security... there were a few incidents. One summer when I lived there, there was a string of car break-ins. The staff was very concerned about it and tried their best to prevent it from happening.

This is a pet-friendly community, and one good feature is that they have "Pet Piddle Parks" for residents to take their dogs to in order to cut down on animal waste throughout the community. Of course, some residents did not take their dogs there, but most did. The only bad thing was when maintenance would not clean out the piddle parks regularly... gross!

As far as noise, this is a relatively quiet community. Of course, you may have noisy neighbors, but not very many parties, at least not in my area. Not too bad.

I liked the office staff that was there when I lived there. (Don't know if it is still the same...) They knew my roommates and me by name and always said hello and were very helpful with any questions we had.

One thing I didn't like was how the rent always went up $10-20 every year when we renewed our lease. My roommate and I actually considered moving out prior to the last year we were there because we didn't want to pay more rent, but we ended up staying because we liked our apartment so much.

One last thing... one winter our thermostat was broken and so we ended up getting charged a lot of money for heat. Well, you pay for heat though the property itself, and we had some kind of outrageous heating bill due to our broken thermostat. Brentwood Park reduced the heating bill to what it would have been had our thermostat not been broken. How many apartment communities would do that' Not many, in my experience.

Overall, I really loved it here! I was sad when I had to move! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
