I along with 3 other people lived at Creekstone for a year, and like everyone else, we had problems. When we moved out we had 2 days of cleaning with 6 people and professionally cleaned the carpets at move out. Now, they couldn't dock us for carpet cleaning at move out but Trish got us for $900 in "other charges", mostly cleaning (10 hours to be exact). Now that's just crazy, 6 people cleaning for 2 days and they still felt the need to clean for 10 additional hours to get it "move in" ready'!' Riiight.. I think not. $250 of it was for painting, which I later found was illegal because it's neither "cleaning nor repair" and the walls were fine at move out, apartments can NOT charge for renovation of the apartment. Other stuff was them charging us for things that we replaced BRAND NEW the day we moved out. One of Trish's responses to that was that "the stove drip pans were the wrong kind". No where in that lease does it say that we needed a specific kind for anything. Sooo, all in all, I've been fighting with her for the last year (part of the year through Wakefield Collection Agency) and I've taken it upon myself to take them to court. Another thing was the walk through at the end of the lease, I went to drop off the keys at move out and she asked me if we could do a move out, I refused because I wanted to make sure the other tenants were there as well. I told her that I would call her before friday at closing (as she stated to me that she didn't work weekends) to let her know when we could be there to do it. She never did a walk through with us and took it upon herself to do it the day after we moved out. She had claimed that I refused it completely (now, who in their right mind would do that'!'!). IF I had refused it, wouldn't you think there would be a form I would sign for that giving up my rights'!'! Also, we noticed in the walk though that there were also things that were cleaned that didn't even exist in the apartment (i.e. fireplace, sliding glass door, celing fans, fireplace mantel). Currently, I'm going through the process and I thought of a very interesting idea, I want to do a CLASS ACTION SUIT against them because searching the internet for these kind of forums has turned up some very interesting complaints... I will not rest or settle and I am very motivated to make sure Creekstone pays me what they rightfully owe me and the other victims!
