Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
Unfortunately, we did not read these reviews before we moved in. If we had, we would have reconsidered, since it is ALL true. We started having problems the very first day, in which there was a large stain on the carpet caused from some water leak. Instead of fixing the problem, they dried the carpet and called it good. One week later, we came home to a couple inches of standing water on our bathroom floor. It took several hours of clean up, which ruined several of our towels. We notified the maintenance guy, who told us he had no clue what was causing the damage. The problem was left at that. Another week later, we found water pooling under our sink. All the water problems in the house caused massive bug infestation. Under every sink/rug there were pill bugs/spiders burrowing. The problem with these apartments is that they are OLD, and have major foundational/structural problems. Look past the freshly painted walls and new carpet to see what you are actually getting.
Another ridiculous rule that creekstone has is that you cannot leave bikes on YOUR patio area. There were no bike racks anywhere on the complex, so we assumed that putting them on our patio was a completely reasonable option. We later got a note posted on our door to remove them, and were rudely told the only acceptable place to store our bikes is inside the apartment.
I really have nothing nice to say about these apartments, or the people that run them. Their fake smiles and friendly nature wear off the day you sign the lease, and from then on they could not care less about you. Also, the pool and hot tub are closed most of the year.
We've also had problems with local thievery, having fedex packages/other items stolen from our patio (probably by the creekstone staff.)
P.S- the gym sucks. It consists of two machines and an old treadmill.
P.S.S- The highly touted "continental breakfast" that they market when showing the apartments, consist of king soopers donuts (8-10 max) with a gallon of O.J.
