The apartments here at Gateway are ok, but nothing spectacular. Everything is a little bit older, but usually works fine.
A big problem I encountered was privacy. There are many handicap people here who will drive you INSANE. They follow you around all day, if your moving they will sit there and watch every thing you do, if you work on your car they will sit right next to you and watch. There are sooo many handicap parking spots it's rediculous. Half of the handicap people don't drive, but still take up two of the best spots. Even if they CAN drive, they can walk anyway, just PREFER to use a wheelchair to get around. All of them plan to live here for life and they seriously will drive you nuts. Also, if you have your blinds open people peek in all day long and they can see everything. Even your neighbors will most likely drive you nuts. All the people who live here plan on living here for a while, and they are all up in everyone's business. They constantly watch what you do. I do have to admit the staff here is very nousy and gossipy. When you first meet them, they are very professional, but if you go back later after living there they are so rude and obnoxious. They have never said anything to me, but the conversations they have about the people that live there in front of other tenets, is very unprofessional on their part.
Security was ok. The apartments are in a good area, but the front doors have one lousy lock on it. The parking lot was mostly okay, little car break-ins. The people who live here are a little bit better, than the people in other parts of Greeley.
Their swimming pool is fine, but they have lots of rules and they strickly inforce them. If you love to hot tube then you can forget it, because there is always a sign on the gate saying "broken"
They charge a lot for what these apartments are. However, if you're thinking about moving in definitly talk to the manager and bargain with her. I got my rent for really cheap ($ 575) and they usually charge a lot more.
The maintenence usually gets done in a timely manner, but the maintenence guys are complete jerks. The manager is very rude to them, but they take it out on the tenets. If they fixed something wrong and have to come back and fix it, watch out, they will bit your head off. In the summer, the air conditioning goes out like every other week so get use to that.
Also, they come in your apartment here whenever they want to. It is very rude and very unprofessional. When the maintenence guys come they just come right in, even if you don't answer the door. I was in the shower one time and the guy came in on his own and scared me half to death.
There are also lots of young parents with kids in these apartments. I don't know about you, but I hate kids because they are so loud and the parents always seem to be gone and not watching them. When it's summer time, forget getting in the pool, all the little kids swamp it.
If you have pets they have a ridiculous NONREFUNDABLE 200 dollar deposite, plus 25 dollars extra a month.
Overall these aparments were okay, but if I had the choice again, I would have looked around a little bit more.
