Horrible place to live

I would not reccomend this place to anyone. I realize that this review is 100% negative, but disregard it at your own risk--I have lived here for 2 years, and I honestly cannot think of anything good about them. I suppose you could say they'll do for a poor college student, but I really think this place is a rip-off even as cheap as they are.

Apartments themselves: Run down and not taken care of. When they repaint, they splatter all over the windows and fixtures. Outside the paint is peeling and the stairs are wobbly. The walls are thin and the appliances cheap. When we moved in the carpet was clean but the counters and drawers were filthy. Parking is not too good, and I've seen people's car vandalized several times. There are potholes deep enough to cause alignment problems in your car--driving through the parking lot is like driving through an obstacle course. Never leave a bike in the rack unless you want it stolen and/or broken. Their on-site laundry is filthy, over-priced, poorly maintained and occassionaly closed for no reason.

Maintenence: Gods help you if something breaks, which I guarantee it will. The maintenence staff has no idea what they're doing. While living here my first apartment leaked every time it rained, and the second had a dozen problems including flooding from the upstairs appt, warped doors and windows, broken dishwasher, broken AC, and a furnace that didn't work. And when we called them to replace the door--which was so warped you could see through the cracks around the edges--it took them two weeks to respond. When they finally did respond, it took them over 7 hours to replace the door! They took the old door off and then wandered away, leaving my apartment wide open for 5 hours. Then it took three of them 2 more hours to put the new door on!

Management: Rude. That sums it all up. They refuse to give reciepts, but then try to claim that you failed to pay rent six months ago. The staff is impolite, and VERY slow to get back to you. We have never been late for rent in two years and yet the staff still occasionally messes up on paperwork and demands that we repay rent we've already paid.

Yeah I lived there for 2 years and pretty much had all of the same problems. The roof leaked constantly in the first unit I had--so badly that the ceiling started to come down and it was even leaking into the breaker box. Then I moved to a different unit and had the same leaking problems. They fixed it but it started leaking again 2 months later. I think CONDESCENDING is the correct word when it comes to the office staff, with the exception of the lead manager, whom I'm sure puts up with so much crap from all of the bad tenants that it's no wonder she is cranky. I couldn't really see out of the windows of either apartment because the seals around them leaked water inbetween the panes of glass, causing a dirty haze once the water dried. An interesting thing about the office...they just renovated and added two new office rooms, furniture, windows, and are doing more work. Yet for some reason they can't afford to fix the buildings up? I'm glad I finally moved out of there.
