REALLY GROSS

I just wanted to share with everyone I letter I wrote to an executive manager at west park, this will give you an idea of the problems we are having now.
I have several concerns regarding this apartment complex the first of
which is the amount of dog feces that surrounds the property.
Someday's when I walk outside there is an unbelievable stench in the
air I am fully aware that at times this is the "cow smell" of Greeley,
however there are times when the smell is feces. I have addressed this
issue several times with the apartment manager and she has told me
that she doesn't know what to do. She said that no one is picking it
up despite her letters and that her grounds keeper isn't doing his
job. My suggestion to this problem is to have one designated area for
dog feces and pay someone to clean it up instead of relying on the
tenants. OR charge more money to the dog owners and then they might
actually pick it up, or just get ride of the dogs. The feces is so
abundant that I can not allow my daughter to step foot in the grass, I
myself won't walk through the lawns. I find it horribly sad that my
child, and other children I know can not play in the grass at their
own "homes." I have even witnessed feces on the stairs and side walks,
I have told the apartment manager about this but nothing is done. I DO
have a CAT so I would be very against charging all animal owners as I
scoop my own animals feces and deposit it in the trash. If you are
going to charge all pet owners for the cost of picking up the dog
feces then I would like someone to come to my door scoop out my litter
box and take it to the trash for me. (I would like to mention that I
have notice that the only people who DO pick up their dog feces are
those bound by wheel cars, fancy that!)
In addition to the feces problem there is always trash all around the
property, under the stairwells, in the bushes and all around the
dumpsters. I am almost certain that the trash around the dumpster has
to violate some sort of health code, with all the rotting food,
diapers and God knows what else. The smell from the dumpsteres is also
something completely unbearable. There is a slim or sludge covering
the ground under and around the dumpsters that is, disgusting to say
the least. This is something I have also mentioned to the apartment
manager, to no avail.
Finally, there seems to be an overall lack of respect for other people
and their property as well as the apartment complex property ( I'm
sure you have gathered this already.) I have witnessed children
throwing rocks at the side of the apartments, the air conditioner
units, the windows, peoples cars, dumpsters, ECT. The noise level
around the apartments is insane, it amazes me how so many people can
not care about their neighbors achieving blissful sleep. I have called
the police and reported this problem to the manager but again, nothing
happens.
I love my apartment(besides the filthy carpet,) it's cozy and it's our
home. The location is great, next to a open space park and close to
school, the rent is manageable. I always pay my rent on time, in fact
it is often several days early and I keep my "area" immaculate. I had
planned to live here for at least another year and was doing my best
to keep hope that the new manager would resolve these continual
issues. However, I will not live in an apartment where my daughter, or
her friends can not play outside on the grass and I am ashamed to have
friends walk past the feces. It is disgusting and something has to be
done about it. I know this is "section eight housing" (which I am not
on) but that is no reason to treat the area or it's residents
like "Section eight people."
I appreciate the quick response and hope that you can resolve these
issues because I don't want to have to move come May.
Thank you.
