Significant problems!

I currently live at these apartments and will continue just until I can find anyplace else to live! Currently the electricity to one of the buildings has been shut off for nonpayment by the management. This leaves the security lights dark and most importantly leaves the fire alarms with out power. There is also a problem with maintenance as I have just been informed today that the suppliers of materials for maintenance has placed a stop to all deliveries because of a credit problem -- being the bills have not been paid!
The problem I believe is the current management. The management when I rented the apartment was determined to clean up the complex and was working hard to that end. They were friendly and committed. Now however the management is distant, hostile and uninterested in the complex. In my opinion their only goal is to write leases which apparently increases their compensation package. The result is that the property is in decline and the new tenants are less acceptable then before as I believe background checks have been relaxed in an effort to write more leases. If the owner is still monitoring this review page I implore you to investigate these claims! You are after all liable for anyone that dies or is injured because the fire alarms are not serviceable because of nonpayment of the electric bill!
Not to mention the health issues due to pigeon droppings, not only do the birds carry diseases, but render your patio unusable due to droppings falling through the slats above and the droppings all over your patio. The amount of dog feces in the grass because not all animal owners are following the RULES in the LEASE concerning pickup after your animals. That brings me to dogs of large breeds, or any breed, NOT on a leash. My wife personally has had a large dog jump on her while walking our small dog. There is trash in the breezeways and around the garbage bins and in the parking lots.
This was a nice, quiet, clean place to live when we moved in November of 2008, in this short time, since management on site has changed, it's become a dirty, noisy, filthy place to live. Ownership has not changed, just on site management not caring has brought us to this point.
If you do read this, you have opened yourself up to all kinds of problems with the trash, the feces, the pigeons and most of all, the fire alarms in a building next to us without power.
This would be a nice place to live IF you had the management on site, unfortunately all you have is a money hungry selfish woman who isn't even thankful to her own maintenance team working their butts off.

Move next door to Gateway Place. It's like night and day between the two apartment complexes. You won't get away from the pigeons, but they don't crap all over your balcony.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our community. As you will see from a posting below made by our owner a few months ago, our community has made big changes and as the new Property Manager I am very excited to be a part of those changes.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Emily Dickey, as the Property Manager at West Park Village Apartments; although I have not been at the property long, we are taking many steps to improve our beautiful community. As the Property Manager, I am working hard to implement many new programs and activities for our residents??????: we recently became a member of the City of Greeley Safe Stay Program; we are starting the Neighborhood watch program; and we are planning summer events to help our residents get to know each other and build a stronger community. Our vision is to establish and maintain a community that you are proud and happy to call home.
We currently have over 15 residents that have called West Park their home for over 4 years. That is something that is not only rare in the apartment industry but, shows you that our staff is capable of accommodating the needs of our residents.
As you know change takes time, we would like to invite you to stop in to our office to meet us and hear more about our community and our plans to make this your first choice for a new home!
