When i first moved in to my apartment i thought it was great i enjoyed the area and the management. Kim was a great assistant manager and now we are on our third manager and Kim is gone. We get notices about parking under carports in the form of big orange stickers on our windsheild instead of being told we can no longer park there cause we don't pay for them. We get a new management company who changes rules and doesn't let any of the tenants know except for the new manager and security walking around telling kids to get back in their apartments cause they aren't old enough to be outside! My child walks himself to school and crosses 35th and he can't be outside without me who are you kidding! Then attaching notices to bikes, who knows what else has changed that we don't know about. I think the focus needs to be on 1. the parking, i seem to never have a spot and have to lug 3 kids and groceries to my apartment by myself, there are always cars out there that don't belong to people that live here at least when i have company i ask them to park a ways away not in front of the building i live in. It would be nice to have at least one assigned spot. 2. leaky windows and doors that lead to wet carpet and mold and depletion of my deposit, i'm not at fault for the windows leaking that is bad construction. 3. the apartments were supposed to be painted in July we are now going into October and we have multi colored buildings it is really tacky. Along with all the clutter on the balconies and patios oh wait that is where we have to put our bikes now because locked up under the stairs to the bars was considered unsafe but carrying them up two or three flights of stairs is better and then our carpet and doors are trashed and dirty and we have to pay for it. I don't know of any child that can carry their bike up that many stairs, and that is who most of the bikes belong to. 4. security and lighting i called security one night at about 8:50 and they said they were on their way and took about 40 minutes to get here so much for safety. There are some areas on the lot that are way to dark anything could happen, people on the west lot have problems keeping anything on their patios because it will probably get stolen and has there are no lights. 5. rules they need to focus on the community and what is best for tenants however they need to be reasonable. Next thing we know we won't be allowed to fart in our own apartment without repercussions. I don't mind changes but if they are going to be made then they need to be put in writing and we need adequate notice of these changes and if these are indeed the changes that are going to be long-term then it needs to be updated in our leases without us having to extend them. Until then i will go by the rules set forth in the lease that i signed not the rules that have been changed without warning.
