Good at first. What it's really like at Pinnacle DTC.

I would find it difficult to reccomend any BRE property after my experience.
Parking-
The speed bumps in the garage caught the exhaust, and broke the catalytic converter on my BMW, a $2300 repair. You get only 1 parking space per apartment, and have to pay $40/month for an additional spot. Entertaining guests, something we used to do all the time, is out of the question at Pinnacle. Visitors park on the 5th level, and it takes 7-10 minutes to park. At night, this area isn't lit. The parking garage is akin to parking at DIA. Occasionally we see people with cars on jacks, and people changing motor oil in the parking garage.
Maintanence-
An apartment below us had their waterheater break and flooded four (maybe even five) apartments. Maintance was nowhere to be found. They had to call the fire department. Only after the Fire Department left did the maintanence crew show up. I wish we would have met our neighbors on different terms.
Workmanship-
The insulation is not nearly as well done as you will be led to believe by your leasing agent. We replaced the thermostat when we first moved in, the apartment was at a chilly 65 in November, but this didn't help- our November electric & gas bill was $200.
Utilities-
Watch out! Qwest exclusively services this complex for satellite, phone, or DSL. You can't get Comcast or cablemodem. Apartments that can, get Dish Network, because of the issues with qwest like ours: At first we thought we were okay with Qwest, because my Husband had a HDTV reciever for DirecTV, and Qwest sells DirecTV, but they told us they couldn't do it. We could, however, buy a new $400 reciever, and pay for "advanced installation" of $250.
Management-
They recently got a new manager. The previous managers and were a lot more congenial.
Overall impression-
We spend a lot of time over at a friends at ------- ----- because of the issues at Pinnacle. They pay less have a loft-style apartment and an attached garage. We'll probably move there, or get a house, when our lease is up.
