Another Unsatisfied Renter!!!

I do not recommended renting at Promenade Place. I lived there for 2 years and my experience was less than pleasurable. Don??t get me wrong ?? the exterior features of the buildings are very nice; nice pool, nice landscaping, and nice location. It is the rest of Promenade that is less than desirable. Let me start out with the management. They have been through two separate sets of management in a little over one year and I??m really not sure which one is more incompetent. Their incompetence leads to brash and rude behavior. For example, it is not uncommon for the leasing office to return phone calls 2-3 days later; that is if you??re lucky. Problems are fixed on their time, not yours.
Some other factors I hope you consider when potentially renting at Promenade Place are:
There were two separate floods where the ceiling and portions of the walls had to be replaced. It is always nice waking up in the middle of the night to water rushing down the walls.
The air conditioner froze on a number of occasions (managements?? response was ??that happens when it is run all day). Typical answer.
A number of break-ins occurred in the downstairs (unlocked) parking lot.
Very thin walls; noise can be heard very clearly from above, below, and next door.
There is dog feces all over the property, especially in the back of the buildings.
The grills work one in five times, if at all. Also, keep in mind you cannot have grills on your deck. Thus, if you are a fan of BBQ, look elsewhere.
There were a number of problems with the fire alarms (the alarms in building 2 and 3 typically went off one or twice a month; usually at some point in the middle of the night).
Parking is very limited; there were cars parked in visitor spots for over a year collecting dust.
There is very little, if any, storage space.
I recommend checking out other properties in the area. For example - The Pinnacle. It has an indoor basketball court, golf simulator, and free coffee -- and no I do not work there. I had several friends that lived or do live there and highly recommended the complex. Also check out the places on the other side of I-25 on Monaco Street as well as places along Yosemite.
Good luck finding a new home in South Denver. You??ll need it if you make your home Promenade Place.
