Promenade Place

This was the worst place I ever rented at. Where to even start' Dryer didn't work, washer leaked, electrical outlets didn't work, roof leaked (flooded bathroom, caused mold all around my light in the bathroom), toilet backed up, smoke detectors constantly went off, unsecured parking (a parking arm is virtually worthless). Not one thing on this list was ever fixed by maintenance everytime they touched something it actually got worse. And whenever I aked mgmt to fix it they acted like I was overreacting. I'm paying the rent for a funtial apt so fix it ok! I am just so glad I no longer rent there the rudest mgmt I've ever encountered what a nightmare. Renters beware look elsewhere this place is a mess.

I am so sorry and surprised to learn of your terrible experience at Promenade-- you are truly a candidate for buying your own home. You (and all the others with their luxury cars) should not be living in apartments, because you will never be satisfied. If this place is what you call bad, trust me, you might as well give up. I've seen the others and this is among the best, if not the best. It's mostly sewage level from here.
I have lived in building one for almost two years now, and if this place was a condo, I would buy it. I have been an apartment dweller for many years, mostly because I have been a student, and recently finished grad school. I am a professional, and makes a six figure salary; just so you know I'm not trying to blow smoke. I love this place and have NEVER had any of the experience you describe. In fact, in the almost two years I've lived here, I've only had to make maintenance requests once or twice, and the repair was done almost immediately. If you want to see real crappy appartment living, I suggest you try some of the over-priced junk they have in the downtown Denver and Boulder areas. I have, and I will NEVER go back to living in a central Denver apartment or phony Boulder again-- unless I can afford a victorian on Hilltop or a mansion in Boulder. May I suggest that you try Mezzo, used to be called Sherman Tower-- assuming you like living with bed bugs, being unable to use your kitchen on the weekends because the plumbing is backed up, having to make a maintenance request at least once a week, standing in an elevator with someones guts on the floor, empty alcohol bottles in the elevators on the weekend, drunks yelling in the hall at night, having some woman randomly call you from the directory at 3 in the morning and begging you to knock on your neighbors door because her husband is in there, the list goes on.
Granted, no apartment living is perfect-- I am aware of the car break-ins at Promenade, but it's been quite a while since any occurred. I disagree with the writer who claimed that the management did nothing about it. I think management did all it could under the circumstances-- I saw security personnel around here more frequently, and the management held a meeting where they invited the police department to participate. At the other apartments where I've lived, the management basically left it up to dwellers to fend for themselves, you know, "we did our part by putting up a sign saying we are not responsible." Unfortunately, the garage is designed poorly. It should have been placed underground-- but I've also lived at another place with an underground parking and yes, theft was rampant there!
Unfortnately, the nature of communal, rental living is that you will not get all you want. But if you are looking to rent, try Building One. It is very quiet and well-kept. My only regret is that Cook's Market left the promenade square!
