I no longer live at the Legacy or in Colorado for that matter, however... When I was transfered to Colorado in '00 by Qwest, I decided on the Legacy to call home. I signed the 1 year lease. The staff was great. Sometime during that year, the office staff turned over. Anyways, I paid out the remainder of the lease even after moving to a house, knowing damn well they would much rather have me lease the unit then attemt to find a new tennant. So I kept the unit clean, and allowed my out of town guest to stay there (my inlaws) instead of renting a hotel room. Well impaging my surprise after I moved out, that a little under a YEAR later I got a letter from a collections company in the Springs that said I owed Legacy over $900 for my final months rent. I did some check book checking and saw that I paid the month in question, so I got a copy of the cleared check at the bank and forwarded it to the collections company, and the collections rep called to appologize and said that this complex pulls this crap all the time, because so many people move out of state for a corporate transfer and the company (the persons employer) usually will write a check for any bill sent or collection letter without question. So basicly this complex tries to screw anyone they can. My biggest regret is that I didnt burn down the building I lived in before I left, I wouldnt because I wouldnt want to displace anyone else, but I probably wouldnt have since all the units are sprinklered. I will say overall constuction of this complex is solid, if only the office staff had it together.
