If you are on a budget, it's a good find. In need of some renovations, the windows and sliding glass door let so much cold air in during the winter that heating bills are very high (which you pay) and the circulation of air throughout the apt is terrible, back bedroom is always freezing. I have the largest 2 bed 2 bath, and with just two of us living here there is not nearly enough closet space, or cabinet space in the kitchen. Had to resort to creative storage. The neighbors are nice enough but many are a little odd, at least they are quiet though! Beware of the townhouses down Dakota Avenue from Americana, the police make frequent trips there and have seen 2 arrests made. Maintenance does a good job, but very slow to respond, they will abandon a job for weeks at a time. I think they have a great management team, except Karen is a pain to deal with, avoid her and you will have a great experience in the office. Americana suited our purpose for affordable housing, but we are moving out to find a place with more space!!
