Bear Valley Village Apartments

Worst place I have ever lived! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/20/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   Holy crap, this place is awful. Absolutely terrible. Drug dealers, and trashy people are everywhere. Parking: Plenty of space if you can get around the trash, junk cars and potholes. Construction: They had to order special parts to screw up my apartment! Seriously, about half of the faucets turn the wrong way, one of the light switches is upside down, one of the knobs on my stove is backwards (high is low, low is high) and the refridgerator door is upside down. Don't drink and assemble apartments folks, someone's dinner will be burnt. Oh yeah, and an honorable mention goes out to the shower, which likes to alternate between hot and cold in the middle of a shower, what a pleasant way to start my day! Grounds. Trash everywhere. The landscaping could be worse, but it's not very nice. People: Ugh. Fights and arguments constantly, noisy kids, trash everywhere, and my neighbor is a dangerous psychopath. Seriously, the other day he threatened my life and kicked my dog because I said I wouldn't lie to the cops regarding an incident involving him, a baseball bat, and some poor guy who crossed his path on the wrong day. And after numerous talks with the management NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! Staff: Ooooh boy. The staff. Lets leave out the manager who just took off with six grand and left town, leaving everything in a mess. Confusing billing, lousy maintenence, and rude staff are the order of the day. In fact, let me tell you what just happened today. I got a very bizarre notice on my door today. Last month, the office told me when I went to pay rent that there was some accounting error and I would not recieve my gas bill until this month. No biggie, I thought. Well, I got that bill on my door today, saying I owed $25.51 due on June 30 for june's gas bill (gas is paid ahead of time, weird accounting around here). Ok, I was expecting this, but what was STAPLED TO THIS was a notice informing me, and I quote: "Dear Resident, Our records indicate that you are in default on your rent payment. At this time you owe $25.41. This amount includes your gas payment for the month of June. This balance must be paid TODAY. If we do not recieve payment you will be subject to eviction." What the hell is this' A notice saying I will be evicted if I don't pay, today, a charge that a bill stapled to the notice says is due in ten days' Yeah, I hope they do try to evict me for this bullcrap, that menas they will lose a lot of money. Oh yeah, and some idiot is shooting fireworks in the parking lot right now. I moved in in Feburary, and I am going to move as soon as possible. These people have broken the lease by allowing such an uninhabitable situation. I am going to get in touch with the colorado apartment association as soon as possible, this place wouldn't be worth it at half the price. Want to move to Lakewood' Hey, great, it's a nice place, but stay far, far away from Bear Valley Village.
