Apartments Epitomize Lakewood Atmosphere

I have actually lived at Hillside Pointe for around 10 years total with the years in addition to those listed spent in a different apartment. I originally moved in due to the spacious one-bedroom living rooms, fireplace, and location. Belmar Park is located approximately 30-40 feet from the Western property line of the apartments (just across Wadsworth). Some are lucky enough to face Wadsworth and have a fantastic view across the green, tree-laden fields of the park and onward to the foothills. These people also have the noise pollution created by Wadsworth traffic, however. In any case, the park is lovely and is a quick walk away. Belmar Park is home to a large number of water foul, muskrats, hawks, rabbits, and coyotes which live in or around the large pond which forms a center-piece of sorts for the park.

When I first came to Hillside Pointe, I was quickly taken-in by the peaceful atmosphere of the area, and the fact this location is conveniently nestled approximately halfway between Denver and Golden (foothills). Since then, primarily within the past 3 years, the area has exploded with growth thanks to the new Belmar shopping area. Although this isn't exactly a plus as far as I'm concerned, the new shopping park is cutting edge for such things, and although the traffic has gotten a bit absurd, the area has still maintained an amount of the peaceful atmosphere.

The only problem I have ever encountered with Hillside Pointe management occurred at my previous apartment under different management. The apartments are situated about halfway up the North side of an East-West valley. The small stream responsible for the valley's existence still exists, running beneath Wadsworth and into Belmar Park. On occasion, following a persistent downpour, the water level of the stream increases significantly. During one of these events, the water level rose high enough to flood parts of my apartment. It took a full month before I could get the previous management to take action on the issue, and by this time mold had joined me in residence here. Once again, however, this was under the previous management.

Long review long....a bit pricey perhaps, but highly recommended.
