The apartment is nice but maintenance needs work

The biggest problem I have encountered is the maintenance. I have been told that things would get taken care of on a certain day, and they do not. I follow up with phone calls and still nothing. It's been the most frustrating maintenance I've ever had to deal with.
I was told by one person in the leasing office that perhaps it would be more effective if I came to discuss a maintenance request in person, rather than over the phone or thru email although the complex provides you with the maintenance number and email address. How inconvenient for residents!
I pay a lot in rent and don't feel I am getting the service I deserve.
