After a dazzleing tour and many promises, actually moving in turned up many suprises. Not only did no one know we were moving in the day we had agreed upon, they had no keys made for the apartment, and the place was in total disrepair and very dirty. Our sink leaked on to the kitchen floor the entire time we lived there; not even the bathrooms had been cleaned from the previous occupants.

But Wait! The best part is still to come! When we moved out they conveniently "lost" our 30 day notice ( lucky we kept the reciept ) We were unable to take a walkthrough with maintenace due to their time restraints. We had spent many hours cleaning and the apartment was in better shape then when we had moved in! They still charged us over twice the downpayment in "cleaning" charges and we were unable to dispute this due to the fact we did not go on a walkthrough.

This gets better! We pay them for our "damages" and about a month later we get a notice from a collection agency that we have unsettled dues with Belmar Villas! I contacted the agency and sent in reciepts proving I paid. They contacted the apartments and recieved no reply... I had to take the time myself to call and get things settled with Belmar to protect my own credit rating.

Sure.. the pool is aweful nice, but I promise, you will be much happier somewhere else.

I am so glad to see I???m not the only person that had this happen to them. Ironically enough the manager told me they???ve never had this problem before???. But they sure have! Thankfully I didn???t have to pay them one penny, but they did keep my deposit. Was fine with me in the end, because it meant I was done dealing with them and their complete lack of understanding customer satisfaction.
