I am currently in the process of reporting Parc Bel Mar apartments in Lakewood, CO to the Better Busines Bureau, and Tom Martino troubleshooters for unfair business and deceptive practices. They enforce 60 day written notice on all their tenants, and if you miss that deadline, they will not negotiate with you. The management there cares more about the rent check rather than the tenant. They prefer you pay the 60 day notice rather than remind you of this decpetive clause. In addition, they are allowed 30 day notice to not renew a lease, and tenants must have 60 day, which is unreasonable. They are a bunch of deceptive snotty swindlers.

COME ON!!! This is ridiculous. It states in your lease agreement how much notice you need to leave. If you don't read your lease then...DON'T SIGN IT!!!!

Actually, most apartment communities require a 60 day written notice. I'm guessing these are the first apartments you've ever lived in.

Actually Colorado Law states that no apartment community can REQUIRE a notice, but can REQUEST it- a contract is a contract, and someone can hand in keys on their last day with no problems. Also most places ask for a 30 day notice. And yes, I've lived in several apartment communities because I travel for my job. ;) |
