Not worth the expense

We have lived here almost a year. We are paying $80 more for rent than new renters are paying, therefore we will be moving as management doesn't see the need to honor new prices in order to retain renters. Also the price is too high anyways for what you get. I will admit the W/D in the units is great but ours were very loud. Being right off the dining/living area and adding the heater and A/C running right next to it... It was a little much in such a small space.
Parking is a nightmare: not only is it a crap shoot after 7, but our assigned parking was at least 100 yards from our unit and down a large flight of stairs. defeating the purpose of us getting a ground floor unit as we have a small child. When other paces opened up, management was unwilling to change it. Also, there have been at least 3 cars broken into that I have seen. Our own car had it's back windsheild wiper stolen and our license plates tampered with. Also, when maintenance was done on the lot recently, management gave us little, to no warning and our neighbors' car was towed and our car was damaged.
The amentities are very nice. However, the community is so large that they are usually crowded and have been in need of or under repair for the majority of our time here. The Movie theater and party room you can rent have outrageous deposits associated with them so we have not used either of those, although I am sure they are nice.
The other tenants are relatively quiet and we rarely hear our neghbors above or next to us. We love the large patio but it is in need of repairs on the railing. All of the buildings could use some fresh paint. Many of the car ports are in disrepair. And the landscaping maintenance leaves something to be desired. There are weeds and dead grass everywhere.
The area is nice with Belmar shopping area, and belmar parc so close. I will miss that but not enough to pay what we do.
For the price go with a newer, smaller community where management actually cares about keeping you around.
