My husband and I moved to Denver a little over a year ago and moved into Parc Belmar. I've been registered on this site for while and get email updates every time something is posted about the community so I thought it was time to do a posting of my own after reading all of the opinions. First off it's not as bad as everyone says. I live in an area where parking is very limited. I do have to walk around my building to get to my car but it's really not that far. It takes less than a minute. I understand that people expect to park at their door but to be honest it's actually nice not having headlights, exhausts or loud noise near my apartment. I have seen cars being towed but that's because they were in the fire lane (DUH! The fire department is the one that sets those). As for security.... I don't think they are actually security. I think they are there for parking issues and to just patrol the grounds. If you have an issue with them let the office know. As for maintenance, I know I had a couple work orders take longer than I had expected before, but lately they have been great. Then again I don't expect maintenance to be there within an hour and I like to take care of things like light bulbs myself. From what I read it's no wonder why some people live in apartments their whole lives. They would never be able to take care of a house. I kind of wonder is my old neighbor posted one of the nasty comments on here. She would continually cry about everything that didn't even matter. She hated the place because she was getting evicted. Guess what.... it's a business, if you don't pay your rent you'll get evicted. My guess is that most of the people that have posted comments have been evicted or didn't get their way since management wouldn't let them break the rules. Dog poop is an issue, but when I see someone not clean up after their pet I see what apartment they go to and let the office know. They then take care of it and I don't see if happening anymore. I guess some people expect the office to be able to be everywhere and do everything. This is my home so I'm going to take some responsibility for it too. Overall I love it here. There is a great fitness center and pool. The theatre room is great to. I actually tell everyone about this place. The way I see it is if all the complainers would just move this place would be even better because the staff could do extra stuff instead of wasting their time on the whiners. I think people just need to get a life and stop complaining. That's a miserable way to live. If you have a real issue just call and talk to one of the managers. Oh yeah and don't be rude. The nicer you are to them, the nicer they'll be to you. I work in customer service and hate nothing more than getting my head ripped off. If someone just communicated with me I am willing to work harder to get the issue taken care of.

You have no idea the hell my Husband and I went through there!!! I think you are just one of the lucky bunch, and if you haven't experienced some of the things people are talking about then you have no right to talk at all, that place was a NIGHTMARE! And when we lived there we never even got to use that great pool and fitness center they were always broken or closed...

You're complaining about complainers. HA! I used to live there and left when my lease was up. It was a NIGHTMARE! I wasn't evicted, I paid my bills on time. You're right, it's the residents that make it harder to be there. Drunken kids who drive around the parking lot with a girl on the hood of their car and ends up getting her skull cracked open, or the little girl that drowned in the pool, some guy who commits suicide by splattering his brain all over his apartment, car vandalisms, yeah, that pretty much sucks when it's your "neigborhood". The pool was always infested with people leaving their kids there like it was a free day care facility, it was horrible trying to get any use of any of the community features. The theater was disgusting (don't think it was ever cleaned). The golf machine never worked. So congrats, you must be living there when everything is working.

What a useless review. Does not address how much park belmar SUCKS. Nothing works, even this obviously somewhat void writer mentions maintnance is anything but fast, and that theres towing.

You are one of what seems to be a very lucky few. We paid our rent on time every month, and called maintenance a total of 3 times in the year we lived there. Twice was for the crappy air conditioning unit, once was for the leaking upstairs toilet that never got fixed, it wasn't a big leak and it was the last month we lived there, it's their problem now. I fix light bulbs, light the pilot, etc., myself, and it has nothing to do with whining. It has to do with paying $1,100.00 a month for nonsense and amenities that don't work! And this site was set up so people can review places to live, so others can make an educated decision on whether or not this is a hell they want to PAY to live in, so listing the bad experiences you have isn't whining, for the most part it's an honest account of bad management and bad treatment. I'm almost glad to hear someone got evicted from there, it must have been because the office wasn't getting their money, because lord knows they don't do anything about violent tenants threatening to kill random neighbors when they are drunk and retarded.
