Great Amenities - If you use them

I've been renting at Parc Belmar with my wife for 9 months now, and after reading the reviews on this site, I had to put in a good word for them. First of all, most of the negative posts on here have come from people who seem to be spoiled, lazy, and expect others to do everything for them.
I am renting a Chelsea 2bd/1bth apartment with an attached garage, and we have been reasonably satisfied. I would rate the apartment an 8 out of 10 for the following reasons:
1)The amenities are great and include BOTH an indoor Olympic sized swimming pool (open year round) AND an outdoor swimming pool that is open Memorial day to Labor day (roughly). The clubhouse also sports a full sized shuffleboard table (which is really fun if you've never played), 3 open access computers, free wireless, a library, foosball table, Billiards table, full locker rooms with showers, bathroom, steam room and sauna, and a tanning bed, not to mention a weight room that rivals most private gyms. They also have a guest suite that rents at $80 a night for guests coming into town that don't want to stay in your apartment, but want to stay close by.
2) We have two cars, and parking in the garage is great. It has a good amount of storage room (including above the garage door), but I understand that not all garages are created equally in these apartments, we just got lucky. Parking in the open parking areas is fine, unless you come home late at night (after 8 pm), in which case you might need to walk 100 yards from car to apartment.
3) The layout of the Chelsea doesn't allow for a lot of natural light to come into the apartment. One of the bedrooms gets A LOT of light, and has 3 different windows while the other bedroom has one big window, and gets decent light. However, the main room and kitchen share only one smaller window, which if you want any privacy needs to have the blinds drawn, and hence, very little natural light comes in.
4)All of the appliances are nice and new, and I liked the sleek black look. It has a decent pantry and laundry closet.
5)Parc Belmar is right accross the street from Belmar Park which has a two decent sized lakes and great park grounds with walking/jogging trails and a nice big grassy area for playing games. It's close to shopping, the library, and grocery store with the Belmar Mall, Lakewood library, and Walmart or King Soopers two blocks away. It's also only 15 - 20 minutes out of downtown.
So in summary, I can't vouch for the other style of apartments, but my wife and I would rate the Chelsea 2bd/1bth an 8 out of 10, and the overall community a 7.5 out of 10. If you get to know the management, don't cause problems, and pay your rent on time, you'll have a good experience.

My review of Parc Belmar had nothing to do with me being lazy or spoiled or have unreasonable expectations other than getting the service that I paid for in my rent. If the management has changed there, then perhaps that's where your positive experience has come from. I will tell you that with the issues I dealt with during the year and a half I lived there - I would never wish that complex on anyone, let alone would I recommend it.
Good luck, I hope your experience continues to be positive for you so that you can be the exception to the norm of living at Parc Belmar.
