Silver Reef is a decent suburban apartment complex. It is probably the nicest in the area. Of course, it s also the most expensive. You need to be aware of the scams they pull regarding rent though.
First, to get you in, they will advertise $200-$300 dollars off to make you think you are getting a deal. In reality they inflate what they call market price by at least that amount so after the so-called deal you are still paying more than you would anywhere else.
Second and more important is the way they try to screw existing residents. When your lease comes due for renewal they will most likely raise it by more than twice what the market would suggest. If you complain about it they will split the difference with you and only increase your rent by half the original increase.
It is the management s policy that only those people who complain get the lower rate. In other words, they purposefully inflate the rent of existing residents to make a little extra money off those that don t complain.
If you live at Silver Reef, or plan to in the future, please keep this dishonest practice in mind and tell your neighbors.
