Nice place in the beginning

I had a 3rd floor apartment. In general, the place was very nice.
The pros:
--The place was clean and carpet was fairly new.
--All appliances were functional.
--For the first 16 months, was a quiet apartment. Could hear people coming and going - but that is to be expected.
--Snow removal was timely.
--Most maintenance problems were handled within 48 hours.
--Rent went up $50 while I was there - reasonable IMO.
The cons:
--If you call office management, make sure you note who you talked to. Had a couple work orders "lost".
--Had a wasp problem in the vents. Management was very skeptical when I complained.
--Insulation is horrible! During the winter it was a struggle to keep the apartment at 65 degrees - and I had the thermostat jacked up to 72.
--Towards the end of my lease, a lot of "party people" moved into the same building as mine. Extremely obnoxious people - yelling at the top of their lungs and playing music to who knows what hour. Security did come and tell them to turn it down - but they failed to notify management.
--Office management was either very nice or very rude.
I moved out early because of the party people. Management was nice about me moving out early and thorough about explaining options for breaking lease. However, they were very picky about cleanliness of empty apartment. Was told apartment was clean enough to have deposit returned - but when I received my deposit it was a couple hundred dollars short with no explanation as to why. Calls to the office were not returned - by then I just decided to let it go.
If it hadn't been for the party people, I probably would have lived there for another year. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
