Well managed, great maintenance crew, safe, convenient location

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
My husband and I moved for work a number of times, and we have lived in many apartment complexes across the country, and I rate The Windsor as the best. We lived there for a year in 1999-2000 and then again in 2004-2006 when we moved back to Colorado from Indiana. We left only because we bought our own place.
The Windsor is a quiet gated community, adjacent to the wonderful Bear Creek Trail and greenbelt, which has great walks/biking/horseback riding and views of coyotes, prairie dogs and wildlife in general. Yet, it is just a few blocks from Wadsworth Blvd, with its shopping, restaurants, banks, grocery stores, cinemas and all the other places you need to get to easily.
The grounds and buildings are excellently maintained and scrupulously clean. After we had lived in our unit for a year, they shampooed our carpet and touched up paint. Most complexes only do this between tenants.
Most importantly, the management staff is friendly and helpful, and the maintenance crew is superb. They invariably appear within the day of calling in a work order, are professional and friendly, and know exactly what they are doing. As an indication of how well it is run by Verity, many of the staff have been with the complex for years.
If you get a unit facing the green belt, which we did during our 2004-2006 stay, you are in luck. The view is gorgeous. If not, the other units are pretty good, too. In our first year, we lived in a unit beside one of the 3 swimming pools. Unlike some other complexes where the buildings are squashed together, The Windsor's buildings are well spaced with wide roads in between, so you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor.
