Ask to see your apartment WAY before move in date. We were very disappointed and didn't end up signing the lease due to an unlivable apartment!

OK, realistically, how do you expect to see your apartment "WAY" before you move in?! Someone is most likely living there. Most complexes turn apartments in a week, and won't show you an apartment until it's finished. It's apartment living, I'm sure nothing abou that apartment was "unliveable". I live here, and I thought my apartment was nicely turned. The couple issues I had were taken care of by management and maintenance.
