They are fairly nice apartments with nice benefits for the price. However, the walls and ceilings are extremely thin as other reviews indicate. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place to live. Another tenant mentioned maintanence coming into her apartment and leaving her door unlocked when they left. I actually had maintanence come into my house without knocking on the door while I drying off from a shower. The staff is okay until you have any sort of problem and then they can be very unhelpful. Depending on which building you live in parking can be very difficult to find if you come home late. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

I don't think AMLI is the best ever, but the criticisms in this review I just don't see. For an apartment (and if you have lived in an apartment you KNOW you will always hear neighbors) the noise is actually very good. All the apartments in my building are a one bedroom so it is all young people. I have never heard neighbors on either side of me make noise. Never heard a TV, argument, or anything else. The guy above me stomps and that is annoying, but next time I will ask for the top floor. If you never want to hear a neighbor you need to go buy a single family home. As for maintanence coming in without knocking on your door I am willing to bet they did. I have been in the shower when my boyfriend got here and I didn't here him knocking. Sometimes a mistake is just a mistake and you need to get over it. |

I have lived in apartments most of my life, in many different areas of the country, and I must say that living a full year at AMLI was one of the worst living experiences of my life. The neighbors on my floor would cook nasty smelling food all the time and b/c the walls were paper mache thin, the smell would overwhelm my apartment. I tried air fresheners and even sealed off my air vents but it didn't help. On top of that, the neighbor below me made so much noise either from playing loud music or having domestic violence episodes that I found myself constatly pounding on the floors and walls to shut them up. I can count at lest 5 times that I saw police with their lights on come to neighboring apartments for noise and domestic arguement issues. I felt like I was living in the ghetto with these misfits and thugs all around me. Snow removal is an issue at almost every apartmnet complex, and AMLI certainly had its share of problems. My rent was raised once while I was there and it was a substantial increase. That, along with everything else I listed above was why I chose to live elsewhere. I am still living in the area, and I must admit I love where I live now, and it's very comparable in price. AMLI did have nice amenities-gym, pool, bbq & patio, pool table, computer room...BUT all that said, it wasn't worth the price or inconveniences. MOVE ON!!
