At first autumn chase seemed like a nice place to live. Big trees, some privacy, gated, big apartments for fairly cheap. However, the apartments are poorly built. The windows are not insolated at all, it freezing in the winter (we wear layers of sweaters and pants in the apartment just to stay fairly warm) and very hot in the summer. The a/c barely works. We have constantly brought this issue to management but they were not willing to put in a new a/c unit and made minor adjustments to the old one instead (which did absolutely nothing). After running the a/c all day the apartment was still 80 degrees and we're just throwing money down the drain keeping up with the electric bill but no cool air. The carpeting/flooring/ and paint is very and needs to be replaced. The carpet is actually torn in some spots. It seems that the maintenence doesn't do a very good job cleaning the apartments after tenants leave (the seem to just ad a coat of paint and clean the carpet). A lot of things are falling apart. The gates don't work 50% of the time and a few people have had their cars broken into. A lot of young college kids live around here which leads to parties and noise late at night. The staff is fairly nice but not too accomodating. Parking can be hard to find if you have more than one car per residence (esp. late at night). The only good thing about autumn chase is that they are pretty great at shoveling snow in the winter, the sidewalks and streets are pretty safe.
