funny, I just got a bill for 1200 for pet damages as well. Guess that's their standard price for having such a "liberal" pet policy. Never mind that the carpet was 3 yrs old when we moved in and obviously worn. On the surface; the Bluffs is a beautiful place to live. It's after you move in you discover what lies beneath. Right after we moved in; my wife's coworkers (she's in law enforcement) had to mention; "oh, we've had drug busts there" (that's great to know after the fact) and that continued during our entire residency there. Maintenance was awful (we had to wait 2 weeks after the apartment flooded fm the a/c unit to get the carpets dried (and it wasn't a very good job) and 3 weeks for a replacement washer after it died. The staff was always "plastic polite" and the Luxurious Spa and Sauna which they advertise so prodigiously never worked the entire time we lived there. They blamed "residents messing them up" as the problem. Sounds Cheap, Cheap, Cheap to me. When our lease was up; The offered rent was much lower for new tenants than we were paying yet they chose to raise our rent although we had never been late with our rent. Does that sound fair'''''' They advertise garages with each unit however they don't mention that they randomly assign garages and ours happened to be across the complex fm our unit. the buildings are ok as apartments go, however the appliances were bottom of the line. No built in microwaves and dirt cheap faucets. One interesting problem we had was the telephone service. We had only 1 working jack in the unit with another one working intermittently when someone moved in. Turns out the lines were crossed and we would end up making calls on a neighbor's line yet the Bluffs refused to do anyting about it. Also have to mention that if you're on a level with an upstairs neighbor; be prepared to feel like you're living with them as every noise; footsteps, water running, voices..just know you're going to become very intimate with your neighbors and not in a good way. Little or no notice when maintenance was coming in to do routine maintenance. Overall; there are much better developments available at a better price. The Bluffs could take note fm their competition.
