My roommate and I have lived at Camden Lakeway for two years. This is by far the best place I have lived! They do advertise a gated community, however, the gates are open more often than shut. The reasoning is mechanical. There have been numerous incidents where drivers ram their vehicles into the gates and break them. The staff is courteous, knowledgable, and are ready to assist residents in any way possible. The property manager is always willing to speak with residents and will help if she can. The rent has never been raised to date and upon the expiration of our lease, we were advised we could possibly save money by moving to a larger two bedroom apartment by taking advantage of the current specials. The property is beautiful in a nice affluent area of town. The ameneties are great, although the hours are not great and are strictly adhered to. Ameneties include a huge workout room, swimming pool that overlooks the pond, hot tub (be warned, it?s not that "hot"), pool room with foos ball, indoor basketball court w/volleyball net, outdoor volleyball pit, locker rooms (with sauna), and business center. The clubhouse is amazing with kitchen that sometimes has water and juices available for residents. Every apartment home includes garage rental too. Yes, this apartment complex does have it?s problems, including the security gates that never close and maintenance staff (although, maintenance issues have been few and far between up to this point.)

The rent we pay includes washer and dryer in unit. They are tolerant of pets, however it is a quite hefty deposit for pets which is non refundable ($400.) Keep an eye out for specials.

If you arrive with a positive attitude and treat the staff with respect the same will be returned. Come in with a negative attitude, and you might agree with some of the negative reviews.
