Like some others, I dismissed the comments about the mgt team. My first mistake! Like 'six months of dissapointment' (moved in about the same time), when I moved in, the place was still dirty-all cupboards, floors(bath & kitchen), bathroom was filthy(had to clean shower to use it), windows, refridgerator(ice container was full w/that white moldy stuff), etc. Took 3 ful evenings after work to clean! Unfortunately, didn't really notice until I started unpacking. Too late! Their excuse was a bad cleaning person that had been terminated-so sorry. Also, looked like all blinds had been run over with a damp sponge or cloth, leaving dirt stains(also weren't in new condition-ie minor damage-a few horizontals bent and a few verticals with cracked broken bottoms). Very attractive. At least the carpet was new. In bathroom, had 3 globe bulbs and 1 regular! Had a leak in the kitchen sink around the disposal that never got fixed(even though reporting leaks was a major priority to get fixed per office literature & I could never leave any water in it). Also, top step of outside steps to 2nd floor was crumbling when I looked at before move in, with replacement step laying on floor. It took over a month to replace after I moved in(only 4 bolts). Told several times it would be fixed! I paid the $89 in lieu of deposit deal, being told all you have to do is wipe off the counters, vacuum, etc, just so there is no major damage(ie holes in walls) when you move out. (You will also pay abt $12.50/mo for H2O for 1 bedroom, and $5 trash fee[only 2 dumpsters for whole complex-usually overflowing]) Now, I'm a single, ex-military(I know how to clean), 38yo male, who works to much! I have never not rcvd a full reimbursement of a deposit(even had one landlord ask me if I wanted to clean his properties). Above the $89 (or whatever it was), I'm being charged another $105, for dirty oven and replace 3 drip pans(guilty of pans-never used oven except to make cornbread a few times), and replace slats in bdrm! ($15, 40, 50 respectively) Their attitude in dealing with you was very non-chalant when it was your problem, now being threatened with collection! When discussing this issue at the counter, an elder gentleman had been waiting(he said 5-10 mnutes) when mgr came from back. Her response,"Oh, I'm sorry, you should have said something.". Typical attitude! Complex was ok on a whole, just don't trust them one bit. Take pics on move in/out! Inspect EVERYTHING, or you will be paying for the replacement for them. Security gates worked maybe on 3 occasions out of 6 mos. Also, like others, short notice(the night before) on the parking lot painting(move it, or it gets towed). Internet(Ygnition) worked great and good price.
