We have lived at Camden Lakeway for over 6 months. When we moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment they charged us a second $200.00 "administration fee".
When I asked to extend our contract for another 3 months they said no. They offered a 6 month contract at a higher monthly rate. They currently have a new sign and balloons to attrach potential renters (my assumption is that they have empty apartments). You would think the owners would prefer extending my contract to keep apartments rented.

That is why I am moving out as well. I love the property; however, management is NOT flexible. I thought the same way - make it a little easier on your current tentants to help with occupancy. Management's response was - I could rent your apartment for more to someone off the street. As a current tentant my first renewal notice was $100.00 increase (that's after a 6 month lease) and I only had less than two weeks to find another place to live (Camden requires a 60 day notice). Unfortunately, I had to stay. So after being there for 1 1/2 yrs. with crappy maintance staff and rude manangement - they were the same this time around like last year (this time my rent went up $60.00)Their repsonse was that I received so many discounts when I moved in - they wanted to make sure I was paying the same amount as someone coming in off the street. |
