After reading these current comments, I felt compelled to also leave my remarks.

We lived at Columbine Meadows for less than a year. We were so anxious to get out of there we paid a mortgage and our rent there for 3 months. I picked up a second job just to get out of there that's how bad it is.

The townhomes are falling apart at the seams. We requested to have someone come over and clean the carpets - a guy with his very own Bissell Carpet Cleaner who lived in the complex showed up. I guess he cleans their carpets for them on the side which explains why the carpet all looks the way that it does! NOne of the carpet has been replaced in YEARS, BUT when the new Section 8 housing people moved in on our block (all 4 houses) had brand new carpet put in, professional painters came to paint the walls instead of the worthless maintenance men they have, and all of their tile/linoleum & appliances were all replaced. Wish that full paying tenants got that luxury!

The paint is falling off the walls. It looks great when you move in, give it two weeks, then it'll fall off and when you ask for some help with it, just know that they will not do anything.

THey don't allow pets, however, half the complex has one.

Now let's talk about management. They are rude, combative, argumentative, and would rather have a fight with you than to get up and deal with the issue. The owner is sexist and cheap and refuses to do anything with that complex. Britney is a joke and Polly, an even bigger one.

The pool is disgusting, the clubhouse has leaves all over the place. We were going to have a party there but cancelled because it would have been embarassing to have people over. The kiddie pool is so dirty I wouldnt' allow my son to go in it, the one time he did he got a bacterial infection in his ear because they don't put enough chlorine in it to kill germs.

The new speed bumps they put in will kill your car and the streets need fixed. You're lucky to make it to the mailbox without getting a hole in your tire from the potholes.

We moved out three months before anyone went into our townhome. We went in on multiple occasions to see if anything had been done (They left our apartment unlocked after we turned our keys in) The little heathen children in the neighborhood that run rampant used our town home as a "fort" and now we aren't getting our deposit back because of course it's trashed. Luckily, I took pictures of it the day we moved out and have witnesses that are giving a deposition to our attorney that they saw the kids going in and out for weeks after we left.

Bottom line: This place is pure hell. Sure for the price and the square footage it's a deal. But u get what you pay for and at COlumbine Meadows you don't get a DIME of what you pay for there. You're better of to spend the extra money for a better place or just stay in an apartment. Better yet, go buy a place!
