I've lived at Cottonwood Creek for 2 years now and there are pros and cons to living here.

I'll start with the pros:
The location is great... about 2 minutes from Walmart, close to the mall, restaurants, etc.

My apartment came with a w/d in it, which was great.

The staff and maintenance crew has always been VERY friendly, but they did raise my rent by 20 bucks after my lease was up, which kind of sucked. Anytime I had an issue, maintenance was always there to help and were always very kind to me.

I've felt relatively safe here, being a female living alone.

I was given a carport reserved for my car only, although ocassionally idiots will park in it. (Really burns me up!!) But besides that, the free carport is nice to have.

I lived on the top floor and it stayed pretty warm up there in the winter, although a big draft came in through the bottom of my entrance door and the windows are not sealed off very well. You can feel drafts from the bedroom window & sliding glass door in the winter.

In the clubhouse there is an office and a gym, which are both very nice. The pool is small, but still nice to have. There is also a hot tub. The landscaping is kept up and overall it's been decent.

They have a great back area for your pets to relieve themselves and even have areas with baggies to clean up after them.

On with the cons:
My biggest regret about living here is the A/C units which are basically like motel air conditioners. If you live on the top floor, expect to BAKE the whole summer. I had three fans plus the air conditioner (which is just connected to the wall) on and I would literally have to leave the a/c and fans on all day for the place to stay cool. I'm sure the ground levels are cooler, but I'm not sure. I would come home from being gone all weekend (during the summer) and my apartment would get to 92 degrees sometimes!!

There are way too many young kids that live here and frequently speed through the parking lot. This is probably my second biggest complaint.

Parking SUCKS if you don't have a car port!

Not much storage space... no linen closets or pantries or anything like that. Space is very limited in the 1 bedrooms... not sure how the 2 bedrooms are.

The apartments are kinda outdated - mainly the appliances.

In the past two years I've been here there have been some fights and the cops have come by a few times, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

People let their dogs run loose or they don't pick up their dog's waste.

When I first moved in, I didn't even get new carpet.

Overall, it's a decent place to live if you're trying to save money. It's in a great location and the staff is great, however I'm sure there are more updated apartments around the area that are going for the same price. And if you don't want to live around a bunch of younger kids, don't live here. And don't get a top floor apartment.. you will bake!!!
