Renters come and go, mostly go...

It would likely be a better complex if the employment situation in Colorado were in better shape. It?s not so much the complex itself, but rather the caliber of the tenants. As most complexes in CO go, Archstone is very lenient on their approval policy. 6 months rent worth of cash in your checking account gets you in, employment not withstanding. This place gets all types, quite families who's kids go to school across the street all the way to teenage party goers who blare electric guitars and leave bags of trash outside their entry door and in the parking lot. The view to the foothills is beautiful and close to open space parks and recreation areas. The Apts have a lot of amities, including broadband Internet via RJ45 jack and a nook for the computer, double phone jacks in every room. Insects are an issue. The open field to the east of the complex is a feeding ground for Spiders, Mice, and Prairie Dogs (which are Rodents, not Canines, and they DO carry the bubonic plague!). The construction is all frame and rather cheap, noise does permeate the walls, the vinyl flooring is easily damaged, and the carpet pulls up and sheds at the wall, but there are fire sprinklers everywhere. Parking is like musical chairs, there aren?t enough spaces near some buildings and visibility around the garage structures is bad. Most of the previous management and rental agents relocated to a new Archstone complex downtown. They didn't like the complex all that much either! Over all its at best fair quality. I'll be looking to rent at cheaper complex once my lease expires.
