I have had an overall good experience at Dakota Ridge Apartments. I've lived there for about 8 months now. The maintenance staff has always responded right away, though I've only needed to call them twice in the 8 months and both were small things.

Yesterday they told the residents that the property has been sold to another company. I hope the new company upholds the standards of Archstone. I found them to be pretty on top of things.

The gates are a hassle because they never work and guests can't get in without a code and they never attached the phone number to the access box. It doesn't work right.

But the apartment is clean and the staff is helpful. For 635/month for a 1 br with full-sized washer dryer hookups, a gorgeous view, and a walk-in closet, I can't complain much. I couldn't find anything comparable in that price range with all the great amenities.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things don't go south with new owners.
