I have lived here for a year and it has not been a good experience. After the first year they raised out rent by $60. We constantly have problems with spiders, and notice cigarette smoke in one of our bathrooms that is coming from one of the other apartments. The parking is a nightmare. I get home from work around 12:00 am and constantly have to park in (BFE). We are always calling the office to notify them of something else that needs to be fixed.
We recently received a letter stating the grills couldn't be used within so many feet of the apartment, basically making it impossible to use on the porch. The gas is shared with the other residents in our half of the building. We tried to conserve last year by using less hot water, but our gas bill still went up because the other residents didn't conserve. The gates to the complex never seem to be working and there is always dog crap all over in the grassy areas due to lazy, irresponsible residents who can't pick up after their dogs. There are only two trash containers so you either have a long walk to take out the trash or you have to put it in your car. The "gym" has broken equipment that never seems to work right and the pools are supposed to be heated, maybe by Alaska standards.
The only positive thing I can say is that the view is nice and I personally like the location. Don't waste your money, look somewhere else.

Since it is not abnormal for apartment management to raise prices with yearly inflation, I do not see why this should be something to complain about. There is no agreement by the apartment management to continue to give you the same price of your original lease when you go to renew. It is your decision at that point as to whether or not you would like to stay.

Camile13 is right...also, the things that you are complaining about probably happen everywhere. You and everyone else are probably just the kind of people who are never satisfied, and always complain, complain, complain!
