Going downhill...

The management changed recently (late 2007) and since then things have been going downhill. The water billing system they have results in bills almost twice as much as they should be ($45 for a small 1 bdrm place). The apartments are NOT well insulated at all, and the windows leak air. Not to mention the heaters in the apartments use a boiler system which means when the hot water runs out, it stops heating. During winter nights, I set the thermostat to 65, and the heater remains on all night (trying to heat, but its blowing out cold air b/c the hot water runs out after a while). This also results in huge electric bills.
The new office staff is just plain stupid. They'll treat you as if you're some idiot who should know all the answers to your own questions.
Cars have been getting vandalized and broken in to, even stolen. They haven't notified anyone.
With the prices you'll be paying for utilities and extra charges, you may as well stay in a better, newer place b/c the prices will equal out.

In response to them not notifying the tenants of the theft/vandalism issues in the complex, the regional manager Carrie said it's not her responsibility to notify the tenants. who's responsibility is it??? maybe if they notified everyone, there wouldn't be issues since people would be more aware of their surroundings!
