Gallup House was nice when I moved here. However, an ownership change and multiple management changes have led to a decrease in safety, maintenance, and customer service.
The apartments are generally fine, and parking isn't a problem.
The unacceptable parts of living at Gallup House have to do with the way the management takes care of the problems you do have in your apartment and the grounds and safety of the complex.
The winter was pretty dangerous on the grounds. Ice and snow were not cleared. Groundskeeping is not much better now, in the summer.
Maintenance is difficult. It can take weeks for them to look at something, and yes, they have to come back often rather than fixing it right away.
Finally, the management is no longer helpful. The hours have changed so that they are almost impossible to see if you work, and they are not forthcoming in dealing with your problems. You really need to keep after them, repeatedly.
Unless those things change, I would stay clear of Gallup House and go somewhere else.

I have lived at Gallup House apartment complex since August, 2006. There have been three management changes. Repairs are very slow and management does not listen to capmplaints. There are running a group home from several of the apartments and these people are not well supervised or taken care of. I feel it is becoming very dangerous for women and will move when lease is up.
