Excited to move out

I moved from across the country without ever being in Denver before, and I know that I could have done a lot worse in my apartment choice. Monterey isn't the worst place I've ever lived by a long shot. But it's far from the best.
The walls are thinner than a sheet of paper. I can hear neighbors above, below, and beside me. It's horrible. I can hear people talking, turning their faucet on and off, closing drawers, and don't even get me started on the neighbor upstairs who keeps me up all night by just walking around.
My apartment had at least five things wrong with it when I moved in: A/C broken, dryer broken, toilet broken, shelf falling off the wall in the closet, etc.
It took two weeks for those things to get fixed (and it was July, so the broken A/C was a big deal).
The gym is small, the pool is kind of dirty, and there is a major parking problem. You have an "assigned space," which means nothing since the office people tell residents which parking spots are "vacant." So when someone moves into that previously vacant apartment, their spot is already taken. Nice. It took a few weeks for me to convince my new neighbors that I had moved in and that I needed to use my own parking space.
Also, people like to park in the fire lanes, which can make it very difficult to back out of your parking space.
Even though the appliances are nice and new and the apartments are spacious, I have learned that there are other places out there with more bang for your buck. This place is pretty expensive. I can't wait to move out.
