I have lived at Monterey for about a year and a half. It has been the worst experience I have ever had. I have lived in dorms, apartments and homes and this is by far the worst. We pay astronomical amounts of money and for what...crap. I live on the side with "lots" of parking and yet it still seems like my car is in danger of getting keyed or hit.

Lets not get into the snow removal issue. Last winter when there was 3 plus feet of snow, the maintenance team were out there shoveling until dark, they had the property looking great. This year, I have only seen the leasing staff out there shoveling. My walkway still has snow and ice, I have slipped twice and now I feel as though they don't care.

The dop poop issue is disgusting. I have a pet and am constantly picking up after other people just so mine can use the bathroom.

If you think this is luxury living, you need a knock upside the head. Go down the street or across Wadsworth and you will get SOOOO much more. The manager has no idea how to handle this property and it is showing.

I agree that the dog poop issue is disgusting. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE which makes it impossible for anyone, especially children to enjoy the open space. Furthermore, they do not offer recycling in the community and I have seen garbage piled high outside of the trash compactor. I have lived here less than a month, but for these and other reasons I would like to move.

I lived there for three months and PAID to get out of the lease... Parking is horrible (I had to park three buildings over or more many times, there is no assigned parking), staff is rude (and try to get every last cent out of you, so watch yourself) and maintenance is non-existent (tried to get a tile replaced in the kitchen, impossible), Appliances are cruddy (the dishwasher groaned so loudly I thought it was going to wake up the entire building and the staff told me that was normal). There is only one trash compacter and it is at the back of the complex, I had to drive my trash there daily... totally not acceptable!!! Basically, I would look else where for living arrangements... STAY AWAY!!!
