Aside from my CRAZY neighbors, the apartments are okay. I got a great deal, was paying about $100-$175 less than my neighbor, who had an identical apartment and neither a garage nor a pet fee ($100 additional on top of that, so beware what rate you get)!

Outside noise was minimal, but my upstairs neighbor's alarm clock woke me up every morning because of the thin walls, as did she and her boyfriend once at 4 am, screaming (and no, they weren't fighting).

The main reason I would not recommend this place is the AWFUL MANAGEMENT. I was out of town for a few months and my boyfriend dropped off the rent check for me three days before due. He had my name on it, but didn't know the apt #. The leasing agent assured him she knew it and would put the correct # on it.

Four days later, there's a note on my door saying I was past due and needed to pay late fees, lawyers' fees, etc. I was on the phone for hours over several phone calls until they realized they had posted it to the wrong resident. I never got an apology. They were rude and unsympathetic.

Rue, the accountant there, would not call me back when she finally found the check, after assuring me she would. I had to hound her just to make sure I wasnt going to have all my belongings inside my apartment confiscated due to their terrible management.

Maintenance is awful. I was trying to get my showerhead fixed, and they would only come out M-F 9-5. As I work downtown over 1/2 hour away, this was unacceptable. They could not get a weekend appt - out of all the rental communities I've lived in, this is unheard of.

Finally, instead of paying around $3,000 to break my lease, I found someone to take it over (they don't let you sublease, so we pretended he was my boyfriend). He called repeatedly for maintenance and nothing was ever done.

Overall, if you can get a great rate ($524 starting for a 1 BR excluding garage and pet fees is what I had), I'd consider it, but be aware that management is terrible. About 1 mile straight shot from the Mineral light rail station, so that's extremely convenient.

Parking is also awful. Everyone parallel parks on the street and behind the garages, which are extremely narrow and very, very hard to get into with a normal size car. I was assured the first week I was there that the cars behind my garage would have notices on them the next day, but two weeks later and no notices, they were still there. I called back and was told it was okay for people to park there cars there after all.

The office outright lies to you, over and over. If you can deal with them and get a great deal, think about it, but there are better places around here at comparable prices.
