Pinnacle at Mountain Gate is BY FAR THE WORST apartment living experience I have ever had. As an exceptional tenant, with no complaints ever filed against me, I expect to be treated as a tenant worth keeping. But unfortunately, I'm treated as just another number on the outside of my door. In almost three years of living here, I forgot to pay my rent once. So I get a warning via a letter on my door threatening eviction and that BRE's lawyers will issue me with papers if I do not pay my rent by the seventh of the month. I'm six days late and I get an eviction notice!!! That was last year sometime. Like I said, I've been living here for almost three years. This month, I was late again after it slipped my mind, and I'm told that I have to pay a 10% late fee (in my case $78), and I have to get a money order to pay my rent. I've never had any problems with my checks here before, but because I'm four days late paying my rent, I have to get a money order! This is a common problem with this complex. Whenever there is an issue with a tenant (I've spoken to several of my friends/neighbors in the complex), management simply places a letter on your door threatening legal action. Even when my water bill was late, I got a letter threatening legal action. Of all the apartments I've lived in, I've never been treated in such a manner as I am treated here. At Pinnacle at Mountain Gate, policy is policy, regardless of how long you've lived here, or how great a tenant you've been. The management team here could care less what your name is, as it took them over a year to learn mine. I've lived in complexes just as large as this one before, and I've always been on a first name basis with the management teams at those other complexes. Long story made longer...make sure this complex is your LAST OPTION!!!

I have lived at this community for over 2 years, in which time i have paid my rent late once, and i did have to pay a late fee, but its my own fault, i don't ask for special treatment. As for the office, they seem to know who i am and know my name. Seems like if you were that unhappy you should have moved out a long time ago. Hmmmmmm.... Ya think?

well i agree with Lance, I have lived here 6 months and have had nothing but problems...the 2nd month they told us all the rent checks had been stolen and to follow up with our banks ect..so i took care of that with of course no loss to them... not to mention the maintenance probs i've had are unbelievable...now it seems they are using the rent 'drop box' as an excuse to say rent is late, by posting "our box is overflowing do not deposit any more rent payments!!" taped over the box ...I too have been a "perfect" tenant at other communities...this is insane and I'm not taking it...hmmm funnyrabbit...either you dont know how to post without being rude and insulting, or maybe youre part of the poor management here...

I am a manager at another property, and I love my residents and know most by name. I would like to say that policy has become the norm due to Fair Housing Laws and how easy and common it has become to sue large companies. Which includes apartments. Unfortunately, as personable and friendly as we want to be, we have to treat everybody the same per contract. Regardless of how long you've stayed or how much the staff likes you. It's tough that it has to be that way for everybody.
