I lived here right after college (1995-1997), and the neighborhood is pretty ghetto. I actually had to call 911 on my neighbors...he was beating the crap out of her...I saw it through the window. The manager at the time was nice enough, but when my refrigerator broke down, I had to write scads of letters to fight for a new one and NOT get charged for something I didn't do...I'm hoping that the company that runs the place is a bit more attentive now than they were then. You get what you pay for though, rent is cheap and the apartment is livable and not too shabby. Better for students or first timers...I wouldn't make it a place to call home, though.
