I had lived at Tanemara apartment for two years, just recently moved out. My first year at the apartment complex was great; the office staff was wonderful, very helpful and very kind. However, at the end of my first year and just after I resigned, the office staff changed without notice and the resident assistance quality significantly decreased. Through my last year at Tanemara the office staff changed three times, with new managers and leasing staff each time with the prior team fired. When I departed in June of this year, the office was unable to locate my renters files and had pre-inspected my apartment with no premission or prior notice of this event.
As mentioned, the orginal management was not present during either move out (I moved to a larger apartment for my second lease term) and with each move out a walk-through inspection occured once all of our belongings had been removed,was met with rude remarks about the condition of the apartments. Now, one might think "these folks may have been pigs for all we know" but please let me assure you, this is not the true. As a microbiologist and a germ freak, I had left the apartments in better condition then I had received them!! With the departure of the first apartment I recieved little deposit back, which was justified by me leaving a "dirty apartment with unclean closets, dusty counter tops, etc.." all of which were inaccurate. Now, I am currently waiting for remarks about the last apartment I left, which when I moved in had food-stuffs cemented to the side of the refidgerator, dirty carpet, a nasty ceiling fan and a dirty stove; all of which had been complained and noted with the management, however my file is missing so lets see how this ends up. I would never recommend this apartment complex...it's the worst place I've lived even when compared to some of the places I lived when in college!

This is only the beginning, the complex now allows dogs, which is fine, but the owners of some of these dogs, don't pick up the treats their dogs leave on the lawn. The number number of smokers is large and the management doesn't care if you prefer to live in a smoke-free environment...they have no concern for this as they stand outside of the office and smoke themselves...I don't think it's professional to stand in the front of the office and smoke where potential clients can see the material left behind (cigerette butts).

okay, that it's it. Good luck in your home hunting and don't consider Tanemara.
