Turf Club Apartments

Would have recommended several years ago... From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/16/2003 Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2003   I would have definitely recommended this apartment community years ago. Unfortunately, it has progressively gone down hill as the criteria bar to be a renter has been significantly lowered. I attribute much of that to the current state of the economy and apartment vacancy rates being relatively high. It seemed like many, young "gang bangers" had moved in, along with their higher-value-than-the-car stereos blasting at any given hour. Large groups of them congregated in the entryways of the buildings making it difficult to get in and out. Parking is horrible. You often must park quite a distance from your apartment, which is a hassle when you have an armful of groceries, laundry, etc. Months before moving out, police visits were becoming more frequent to the complex. On a positive note, maintenance responded quickly to requests, and the rental office staff was friendly and very helpful. Rent with caution -- really take a look at the property and the tenants first. Be sure to visit at different times of the day and during weekends when school is out for the summer.
