New Management not starting out well

As of 8/27/09 management changed from Equity to Holland Residential, and the name changed from Turf Club to Terra Vista.

Almost immediately tons of construction began. New siding, roofwork, parking lot pavement.

I can put up with construction. However if they notify you to move stuff off of the interior walls by 9/11 because the work on the roof can knock things down and break them, then you expect them not to start work on the afternoon of 9/10. But they did.

And if they need certain spaces in the parking lot left clear for pavement work, they should notify you beforehand. If our car isn't moved, then we didn't get the notice. But they towed us anyway... And left a big black mark on the vehicle... While we were home! Equity had us update our file each year telling which vehicles are ours. Holland got the files from them, but apparently couldn't figure out where to get the information. They also admitted that they didn't get notices out to all the tenants. Ok fine. They made a mistake. But then we talked to our downstairs neighbor. He said he saw them move the car. He told them whose car it was and that he was home and where to go. The response was "They got the notice, they should know not to park here." Actually, we didn't get a notice, management just hadn't found their mistake yet. But now it is painfully obvious that they made no effort to contact us, even after they were given our information. We are going to have a mechanic friend check the car for engine damage, because that was what we were really worried about when he told us that they barely got the car towed at all, it was lolling off the side of the truck.

We feel even more sorry for those residents whose cars were dumped off next to fire hydrants...

Perhaps they are not interested in customer service because they plan to upgrade and then raise prices to reflect the upgrades and price us all out' Avoid this place until the construction is done.

Can you say bedbugs? Our neighbor had them now I do. I just got transferred to chicago. Good luck with the new company, I doubt they will be any different from equity.
