You should go elsewhere, unless you're poor and under 26 yrs old

If you are 26 years old or over, you will be very unhappy living here.
I have lived here for 11 months, and I can only recommend it to anyone who are the following:
* Likes to party
* Under 26
* Has a dog
* Isn't bothered by excessive noise
* Can only afford to live here
I did not realize the clientele that lived here until after I had moved in. I did not do enough research as I was in a hurry. This is an extremely noisy place with lots of young, mostly uneducated people. It seems like almost everyone smokes and has a dog. The rent at this apartment complex is one of the lowest of the area - and this isn't a cheap area - so the clientele it attracts is signicantly more problem-prone with drinking and domestic disturbance.
When you visit this complex, it appears to be a nice place to live. The pool area is nice, there is a weight room, the management area is fancy. They will take you to a demonstration apartment that also is very nice. However, once I moved in to my unit, I found it to be exceedingly dirty. It was the dirtiest apartment to which I have ever moved. The stairwells and hallways are never cleaned, and the residents who live here are not bothered by tossing garbage into the hallways. You will always find cigarette butts and food wrappers in the stairwells. I found this to be true even after every tenant in my building left and was replaced while I was there, so it wasn't just the work of one person.
While living there I encountered the following maintenance problems: the shower/bath pipes upstairs leaked and blistered my ceiling, the refrigerator leaked copious amounts of water from the freezer (two service calls did not fix this and it still leaked when I left), and the center piece of the dishwasher came off. The pipes were fixed within a day of reporting it.
My unit had vertical blinds on all windows, which were frustrating because they have no privacy at all unless fully closed. Horizontal blinds would have been more intelligent.
The walls, floors, and ceilings of Westlake Greens are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on upstairs or next door. I used to listen to my neighbors fight and I could hear every word. When people walk around upstairs, you can follow them, and even sometimes hear them talking.
Dogs are everywhere here, and if you are allergic to them, you will not be able to escape where they have marked or left hair. As mentioned before, the hallways are never cleaned.
This year, the pool area was closed for about 2 months.
The people in the office seem to change over fairly regularly, though the main two managers were still there after 8 months.
Only one of the two computers in the "business office" works very well, and you will find the same two people using it at all hours and at all times, so, essentially, you will not be able to use this feature. Also, the copy machine was broken for so long that I stopped checking to see if it worked.
There are many other apartment complexes nearby that offer slightly higher rent but much better living conditions. A good friend lives at the one just on the other side of the Home Depot in the Grant Ranch Neighborhood and it is nice and peaceful.
Though Westlake Greens looks attractive at first glance, you will not like living there unless you fit the profile I listed earlier.
