Decent place to live

Well, I don't know if these negative reviews are an overreaction to something, if they did something to cause problems with the company, or if I'm just lucky. But I've lived here nearly a year now, and everything has been just fine by me. The office notified me when they recieved a package of mine. They were very good about letting residents know the details about what was happening and where we would have to park while the parking lot was being redone. They've left notes on everyone's doors regarding the dog crap that no one wants to pick up, but while out walking my dog in the morning, there's almost always a maintenence guy wandering with a bucket and a claw-contraption picking it up. And once, I even saw a pooper-scooper service on the grounds. They re-did all of the sidewalks this summer also, which was good because they were starting to get a bit shabby. The mainentance guys are great, quick responses and very nice, and they always leave you a note to let you know when they came in to fix something you complained about-and I was notified at least 3 days in advance when they came in to replace the air filters. They have monthly community activities when the weather is warmer, but I never attended any of them. My boyfriend (now ex) lived with me for a few months with his dog, and the management never said anything about putting the dog on the lease, even though they knew he was there. I assume if the dog had stayed around longer, that would be different but they were out in a few months. No breed or weight restrictins, which is nice and rare to find in the Denver area. The office staff has changed, however, which is a bummer. Jackie is a -----, even when you're not complaining about anything. Too bad Katie left, she's the one I rented from and was amazing in getting things sorted out and taken care of in my apartment before I moved in. The "business center" is a joke. There's only one computer and printer. The internet connection is slow, but maybe that's just because the computer had some sort of virus in it (or something) that caused it to freeze every five minutes, and a warning box to pop up about 100 times in thirty seconds. Occasionally the screen would go to that beautiful blue and all you could do was restart by holding the button on the CPU in for a few seconds. It didn't even have the necessary drivers to read my USB thumb drive, and there was never paper in the printer. I never used the pool or hot tub, but there was routinely teens and twenty-something in there after the 10pm curfew. I think I got lucky with quiet neighbors. The kid downstairs was out of work for awhile and played his stereo kind of loud, but at least he only did it during daylight hours. Everyone else was quiet, never heard anything from the people upstairs unless something was dropped. But I could hear a phone ringing sometimes, early in the morning when everything was quiet-strange, because I never heard talking.
Overall, a decent place to live, though maybe a bit overpriced. I had a great experience and would be staying when my lease is up in May, but I need to move closer to downtown for school. The commute isn't too bad if you drive up to Santa Fe and take it into downtown, but I'd just rather not deal with it at all.
BTW, some of these reviews sound like they're written by employees. Ignore the stellar ones, no apartment is ever perfect.
